
Tülin Şener
Tülin Şener is a faculty member at Ankara University, Faculty of Educational Sciences. She received her master's and doctorate degrees from the same university. Between 1999-2000, she did her doctoral studies at the City University of New York (CUNY) and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) within the scope of the Turkish Academy of Sciences Integrated Doctoral Scholarship Program. She conducted a 9-month post-doctoral research on “Civil participation of Turkish youth living in Germany” at the Berlin Center for Intercultural Child, Adolescent and Adult Studies. She worked as the Turkey representative of the European Youth Policies Information Center under the European Commission and the Council of Europe Partnership between 2006-2018, and as the deputy director of the Ankara University Child Culture Research and Application Center between 2011-2014. Tülin Şener is the Turkey coordinator of the comprehensive project titled “Processes Influencing Democratic Ownership and Participation-PIDOP” carried out in 9 countries within the scope of the 7th Framework Program of the European Union. She is the national consultant of the "Strengthening the Culture of Democracy in Basic Education Institutions Project" funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe by the Ministry of National Education. In 2021, she was elected as a Member of the Advisory Board of the Education Policy Department of the Education Directorate of the Council of Europe she. Working in the field of Development and Educational Psychology, Tülin Şener has been conducting various researches and practices in the field of children's rights, civic participation and youth work for many years.
